Who We Are

The Wilderness Adventure Society is a non-profit-seeking organization that allows you to:
  • Publish your adventure stories (with or without photos, text, video, etc);
  • Discover information about sports or destinations by reading other's stories;
  • Find people with similar interests;
  • Build custom Travel Guidebooks which you can share with others;
  • Win awards for quality photographs, Adventure Blogs, forum posts, etc;
  • Receive Travel Grants to help pay for your next big adventure;
  • Help us help others by helping us support outdoor-related non-profits.

The Wilderness Adventure Society hopes to provide an entirely new paradigm for adventure-travel-related information access, publishing and social networking. Think of the possibilities:

  • You want to meet a fellow biker, climber, dirt biker, or another sport.
  • You want to find clubs in a specific area for your sports.
  • You are a professional (or amateur) photographer wanting many people to see your work.
  • You are an aspiring (or accomplished) writer wanting a place to publish your work.
  • You wish to find information about a particular hike or route.
  • You are a stock photo agency looking for top-notch photographers.
  • You are an editor of a travel-related magazine and wish to find new talent.
  • You can do all this and so much more!

Adventure travel means different things to different people. At the Wilderness Adventure Society, we do not limit our adventures to non-guided, non-motorized trips. While we support such activities and donate money to organizations protecting the environment, our site is meant to support adventure travelers and their stories no matter where you went or how you got there.

If it is adventure to you, we are interested and likely so are millions of other readers, travelers, and adventurers. So sign up for a free Membership (we don't share your information with anyone) and tell us about your adventures.

HOW WE'RE DIFFERENT: High Signal - Low Noise!

Most current social networks are complicated and confusing. Our Society’s web pages are meant to be clean, easy to use, and focused on the publishing and searching of travel and adventure stories, photos and other information, as well as providing tools for people with similar interests to easily find each other.
